Here is a quick email I sent to Supervisor Jacob today:

Supervisor Jacob,

The first two links I saw on your website are titled "Fields of Dreams" and "Safe Communities for Kids" which as I see them are in direct contrast to your stand to not take a stand on the Las Colinas prison in Santee.  What part of expanding the prison site applies to "Fields of Dreams" and "Safe Communities for Kids" for the  citizens and CHILDREN in Santee?  The expansion of the prison, not just  in our backyard, but in the heart of our community will erase the dreams of a safe hometown where the residents can work, play, and go to school.  Haven't the residents and children of Santee suffered enough with school lockdowns and the stench of the Sycamore Landfill?  Haven't we done enough for the county of San Diego?  Please consider attending the Mayor's meeting at Trolley Center, tomorrow, July 17th. You MUST listen to your constituents NOW, before you hear from US in the voting booths!  Save a tree, please do not respond with a form letter, the landfill is already overfilling!
 Christine Bailey

Christine: I am outraged that Ron Roberts "dismissed" the Las Colinas land usage analysis Wednesday.
Below is the email I sent to Ron Roberts 07/18/07.
Below that is my email to Dianne Jacobs. I hope Mayor Voepel is at the Trolley concert tonight because Santee needs to get their citizens together to fight this out of control County Supervisors Board. Don't know if you have read the blogs on the UT articles 07/17 & 07/18? I am Safe'n 'Sane by the way.
      Ron Roberts,
I am 100% sure you would not completely dismiss and invalidate the London Groups Los Colinas land usage analysis if this new jail was being proposed for YOUR neighborhood and city. Well, Mr. Roberts, as a Santee residents, we will not put up with your lack of public service or sense and will fight the excuses to have a 1216 bed! jail in the middle of a thriving family oriented suburban city. Public Safety has to be the #1 priority in this decision! How dare you not look, listen and address to our concerns, Mr. Roberts. You should be ashamed of yourself! Please read Santee's mission/vision statement below. I certainly expect you as the County Supervisor to have the same mindset, values and ethics. Please advise.

Elizabeth, You have probably figured out that I am LV2TCH. I emailed Ron Roberts and sent a copy to all the supervisors and Union Tribune also. I just hope that we can get the word out to Santee residents who have no idea this is going on! I forwarded the email on to Rob McNelis here also. Yes, I hope we can meet and talk about VICTORY one day! Chris

Hi Chris, I want to know if a organized Santee Citizens Group has been formed? Also, I think we can get the message across to our neighbors and friends using the Land Usage Summary that Rob posted yesterday. This is a very concise and to the point summary of the findings of the consultants hired to analyze this situation in a unbiased fashion. I am going to start handing this out to my neighbors and bring them with me to Santee events. My email is elizadams2006@hotmail.com Anyway, I am very grateful for this website too. Thank you Rob for all your hard work. Elizabeth Adams
